M400Waterproofing Coating isa water-based elastomeric coating, which utilizing the latest technology tosubject to resistant the severe weather condition, chemical eroding, etc. It isa white emulsion with single component system. It is a highly elastic toughwaterproofing system, co-polymers and a carrier solvent. It is highly resistantto aggressive soils and soluble salts providing an effective continuous barrierand protection against waterborne damage. This is ideally suited as avapour/salt barrier to building facades behind granite, marble, stone cladding,and curtain wall elements.

Instructions for Use
SurfacePreparation: – Surfacesto which M400 Waterproofing Coating to be applied must be clean fromdirt, dust, rust, voids, honeycombs, protrusions, or any other material, whichmay impair adhesion.
Where mossor lichen is present, treat with proper fungicidal wash to kill spores andinhibit further growth. Following treatment, wash area thoroughly with cleanwater and allow drying. Fillets must be provided at corners or sharp anglesusing 4:1 sand and cement mortar modified with a good quality bonding agent.
Priming:Normally not required on goodquality, well-prepared substrates.
Cracks:All shrinkage and non-structuralcracks must be treated with not less than 1.5mm coating of
M400Waterproofing Coatingextending 75mm eitherside of the crack. Allow to cure overnight prior to general application.
Application:M400 Waterproofing Coatingshould be applied by brush to obtain a continuous unbroken film. Two coats arerequired with the second coat applied at right angles after the first coat hascured.
M400Waterproofing Coatingmust be protected from mechanical damage during subsequent construction orbackfilling works. Any damage may be repaired by spot application. If a waterflood test is to be run, the membrane should cure for a minimum of 10 days.Whilst M400 Waterproofing Coating is resistant to frost, adhesion willbe impaired if applied to frosted substrates. Application should be avoided ifsubstrate temperatures are below 5 ℃ or rain is imminent.
Cleaning:Application equipment should bethoroughly cleaned after use with Xylene or similar solvents. Spillages shouldbe absorbed with sand, vermiculite or similar and be disposed of in accordancewith local regulations.
Coverage
Coveragerates vary according to the density, porosity, texture, ambient temperature,etc. of the substrate to be treated. Typically, a coverage rate of1litre/m2/coat at 0.55mm D.F.T.
Packaging & Storage
M400Waterproofing Coatingis packed in 50kg per drumand it has a minimum shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored under cover,out of direct sunlight.
Health & Safety Precautions
M400Waterproofing Coatingdoes not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However,it should not be swallowed or allowed to be exposed to skin and eyes. Suitableprotective gloves and goggles should be worn. Splashes on the skin should beremoved with water. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plentyof water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attentionimmediately – do not induce vomiting.
